Courtyard

Picture
The courtyard is through the glass doors behind the bells. The Guesthouse is built according to the plan of a traditional Chinese Palace, complete with courtyard and throne room - now a shrine room. The garages and storerooms at the back of the guesthouse were the palace stables. The wide driveway, now parking area, was the palace market place. A mural depicting Sakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, teaching the Dharma to beings from all realms of existence, can be seen on the wall above the dining hall.
