 On the 28th September 2012, Nan Hua Academy together with the Nanhua-sponsored Witbank Computer College hosted a graduation ceremony in the ABS Hall, Cultura Park, and Bronkhorstspruit.
 To achieve one of the aims of Fo Guang Shan: “To Benefit Society through Charitable Programs” on 21st September 2012 at 10:00 am, Guidance Master of Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA), Pretoria Chapter, Ven Hui Xing, together with some members donated 5 wheelchairs to New Hope School in Pretoria, about 50 km away from Nan Hua Temple.
 On the morning of 6th September 2012, three teachers and sixty students from Aston Manor High School, Kempton Park, visited Nan Hua Temple for couple of hours. This school has been visiting the temple every year, so that students have more awareness and understanding of different religions.
