HELPING YOUTH TO HELP THEMSELVES THROUGH EDUCATION
On the 6th July 2012 Nan Hua Academy in Bronkhorstspruit and Witbank Computer Centre held a joint Computer Class Graduations Ceremony in Bronkhorstspruit. The courses consisted of the Office 2010, CompTIA A + (computer hardware maintenance), the Pastel Accounting (basis of accounting), as well as Office 2003 at Witbank Computer Centre. There were over a hundred students and family members participating in the graduation ceremony.
Nan Hua Temple Abbot , Ven Hui Fang, congratulated all graduates, and expressed his sincere wish that all students will get a good job in the future, make use of the knowledge they acquired in the courses, and that they will contribute to the community. As an example to encourage the students, Ven Hui Fang shared a story of a past graduate who, soon after her graduation, found a job in the national highway toll-station because of the computer knowledge that she acquired at NHA. While employed in this job, she saved enough money to help her family and to study at UNISA. Now she is working at ABSA Bank as a Financial Consultant. This is an excellent example how NHA can help a person who is determined to study to succeed in life.
Master Hui Fang also mentioned to the students and their families that there are few more courses that can be taken at Nan Hua Academy, that graduation doesn’t have to be the end of their learning. He asked the audience to spread this message about this unique opportunity, so that other people can also know about it and make use of it.
