Ven Hui Mu led a stretching exercise session daily. The purpose of doing these exercises regularly is to help the participants meditate & concentrate with greater ease, and to relax one’s body and mind from the demands & stresses of everyday life.
The retreat activities included learning and practicing proper sitting, walking & tea-meditation techniques, and stretching exercises.
Every evening ended with a Dharma Talk by Ven Master Hsing Yun—the Grand Master of Fo Guang Shan—through the video lecture on "The Heart Sutra", produced by the University of West, in Hacienda Heights, Los Angeles, USA.
All participants expressed their gratitude for this opportunity to learn the theory & practice of meditation, and for learning some of the prajna / wisdom of the Grand Master.
