The Nan Hua Academy in Bronkhorstspruit, which specialises in free computer literacy training to local youth, recently co-hosted a Graduation Ceremony with two other associate academies in Kwa-Mhlanga and Limpopo. The ceremony was organised by the academy and was attended by over 60 graduates. During the ceremony these graduates, who worked very hard during the three-month course and passed the examinations, sang their heart-out to express their joy and excitement!
A representative of the Kwa-Mhlanga computer centre said,” We would like to thank the Nan Hua Temple and BLIA in giving us this academic opportunity. We have experienced many obstacles because we did not know how to use a computer, but the Nan Hua Academy gave us hope and empowered us with computer skills. Most of all, the academy has shown us what it means to give unconditionally – a quality that is vital in our attitude towards others.”
A highlight of the event was when Venerable Master Hui Xing, manager of the Nan Hua Temple, left the following meaningful messages for the graduates: “Knowledge not only improves our wisdom, but also enhances our spiritual wealth. Physical wealth, such as the money we earn, is has its limits, but spiritual wealth is free of constraints, and limitless. We should therefore always possess a positive attitude towards learning and continue to build our inner wealth.”
